What a great shot. You're right when you say hard earned, as to get such pics sometimes takes a lot of skill and patience, especially as we don't want to be clocked not only by the subject but also people around. Also it is easy to mess up an angle etc and have to retake shot with the probability that opportunity will be lost. Well done indeed! :ooook:

Yep, so often, it's the members that never contribute anything to the community that are the ones that do all the moaning and whining about other members posts. Seen it many times. One forum that I used to contribute to I had actually uploaded over 13,000 images (yes you did read that correctly!) and then a member that had posted nothing except a few demanding questions about where other members sourced their material, picked on a small detail in one of my images that he thought would embarress me and created a flood of copycat sanctimonious remarks by equally inactive members :bleh: Needless to say I don't post a single thing there anymore. In fact I would delete everything if it wasn't for the fact it would take forever to do!!

The only way to screen these freeloaders out of our communities is for the owners to demand that members have to upload a minimum amount of viewable quality content in order to get access to other active members work, and then maintain a minimum number of contributions per month to stay on the board. Seems fair to me, what do you reckon?

That is a most excellent idea! I fully concur with that.

I don't.
Sorry but i think i can speak with experience. I created Nyllover.com more than 10 years ago, then this forum in 2003. And in all this time, i never ever said anything about freeloaders. You need to live with them, you need to focus your efforts on those that appreciate your work, otherwise you will end up, sooner or later, stopping everything alltogether.

Believe me, if i had gone mad about people not appreciate my job, i would have stopped all this ages ago. Instead we are here, in a quite nice community, still sharing stuff.

Ignore them...don't let them steal from you the pleasure of sharing, don't focus on them. Focus on those that appreciate what you do and that contribute a lot as well. You'll live way better, trust me :)

Whatever you say, Nyl. This is your website, and I highly respect your opinions as well as your thoughts, but remember this if nothing else... "shit gets old after awhile". Think about that! I'm out!

Everyone can have his opinion of course, and it makes me sad thinking that you can leave just because of this reason. But, needless to say, i totally respect your opinion.

Just let me clarify: i don't want to justify that kind of forum members, i'm just saying that we should live ignoring them.

These people are everywhere in life!
Go hang out at any welfare office, and watch entitled people rant and rave because they face some minor inconvenience getting FREE stuff!

Every person who works for anything and/or creates anything will get people attacking them all the time.
Every customer service rep in any field will get people wanting free stuff and then cocking an attitude when they don't get it.
(I've worked customer service for over a decade...believe me, I know, it sucks!)

If you're still around, and everyone else, take nyllover advice and ignore them, because eventually you'll meet one in real life, and will have
to engage them when they're in your face.

"What you got fo free?"

"Get the hell out of here! No business anywhere "sells" "free" stuff - you've been told "nothing" for years, yet you still ask?!!!"

Such is life, and always will be......
