Nylon Preference and Why
I haven't seen a good old fashioned debate up here in a while. Seeing as nylon season is upon us up North what do you prefer to see/feel sheer or opaque and why? For me sheer wins hands down. If you luck up and catch shoeplay in flats, heels, etc you can still see their soles and toes pretty easily especially if they're painted. With opaques can't really see much. What's your take?

Re: Nylon Preference and Why
It's opaques for me, personally.
- Opaque tights/hose, for me, convey softness over sensuality, with a hint of innocence. Both are vulnerable, but feet in opaque tights look more plush, more tender, ready for pampering.
- Opaques hide and even enhance imperfections. I don't find bunions attractive on bare feet, but with opaque tights, they're kind of cute in an endearing, vulnerable way.
- The textures and patterns, and the rainbow of colors, from innocent white to everyday black to the knits and plaids of winter. Yeah, there are color options for sheer hosiery too, but opaques are so much more bold, and there's something very "look at me" about a pair of red, purple or argyle tights.
- Opaques are more durable and practical, so if she plans on being out of her shoes for any amount of time, she's probably going to opt for tights.
Opaque tights and flats are schoolteacher/librarian chic, and I'm all for it.
But don't get me wrong - sheer hose, trouser socks, peds, are all delightful too and better than the bare alternative.

It’s sheer all the way for me. Tan, beige, brown, black are favorites. Wife has finally started wearing them again thankfully so I get a show every week or two. Starting to see more at church as well. The one thing that may hurt it they are forecasting a very warm winter in my area.

Sheer. Earth tones - tan, brown, black, gray. Strong preference for reinforced toes and RHT.

Re: Nylon Preference and Why
I'm not going to debate about what I want to see because I see it so rarely and I live in a major city
