I know I'm in the minority here in the U.S. when it comes to the World Cup, but I can't wait. I think we have a good chance to go deep, obviously I don't think we're talented enough to win it all, especially since we're not playing real well together right now. Oh and add the fact that we face the #2 ranked team in the world in game 1 vs. the Czechs!

This is a pretty worldwide forum, does anyone else have any thoughts???

I'd settle for just being back in Germany!

I will be following the results though. Too bad the sport never really caught on here in the States professionally. It's very underrated.

By the way... this is the wife of Francesco Totti, maybe the best italian player now....

I guess this adds some supporters for Italy!

Germany vs. Costa Rica - How offside do you have to be before you are offside? :bleh: Glad Germany won though!

Ecuador vs. Poland - Great game for Ecuador, technically sound game for Poland but if you can't attack and score there isn't much point. Better luck next time.

We'll see what happens next.

Anyone catch England's match against Paraguay? I read it wasn't a very inspiring performance for the Brits. Gotta hurt though losing because of an own goal...probably gonna haunt the guy for years.

It looks like Italy will face the U. S. team on the 17th.

CBC has a great World Cup website that, to me anyway, is much more user friendly than Yahoo! or Google coverage sites.

Joking...anyway yes. And, to show you how italians are when it comes to World Cup... that day me and some coworkers were supposed to go out at dinner... we had to find a restaurant that could assure us we will be able to watch the game before booking!! :superlol: :superlol: :superlol:

Yes, I missed the blog, sorry. My face is red.:(

Congrats on the game today. I only saw part of it - Italian team had a tough defense, Ghana just couldn't get in there to attack. The secondary goalkeeper for Ghana was fantastic though, great saves on his part.

Only caught the news of some other matches but so far it's been a very satisfying Cup!
