Are footsie scenes better on DVD OR VHS?

I was in the store and happened to walk by Weekend At Bernies on DVD. It had me thinking are footsie scenes better to watch on DVD? I'm still in the "Stone Age" and haven't bought a DVD player yet. For you guys who do have DVD, are the scenes better to watch on DVD than VHS?

Yes Footsiefreak, footsie scenes on DVD are MUCH better than on VHS tapes. DVD's are supposed to last a 100 years, while VHS tapes loses picture and sound quality overtime, even if you don't play them that often. Just take a look at the NEW quality version of The Nortorious Daughter Of Fanny Hill (courtesy of ME!) You can see the difference for yourself. Last year, I bought a DVD recorder last year, so I can convert my movies (especially my hosed feet/footsie scenes) from VHS to DVD. And sure enough, it was a worthy purchase.

So do yourself a favor, FF... say hello to DVD, and goodbye to VHS. Later!

I agree with BabyLove: there is NO comparison between VHS and DVD.
The only thing i want to add to what Babylove said, just to clearify to everyone, if you convert a VHS tape into DVD you won't get a different quality, but sure enough that DVD will last YEARS more than the tape, and the quality will NEVER change.

So... as BL said... Footsiefreak, is time to get a dvd!

DVD is far better than VHS, provided the SOURCE of the material is excellent. But like CD's, you have to be careful not to scratch them. That is why its good to have a backup copy of that DVD. Some DVD players are more tolerant to scratches than others. At least VHS doesn't have that problem. I hope some day the DVD will be made of harder plastic. I scratched one and still don't know how I did it. Fortunately, it was not bad enough to make the player skip. DVD's remind me a little of records in their sensitivity to scratches. But given a good source, DVD's are the way to go. They also take up far less space.

BTW, could someone post a link to that "Notorious Daughter of Fanny Hill"? That must be one I missed.

Ok. you were joking..but since I just scanned that page this morning, I assumed their was nothing new. I also have a bipolar condition which impairs my memory (sometimes greatly). I also take medication for it which also impairs my memory. so taken together, my memory is often times very lacking. I often can't even remember what I did 10 minutes ago. But I am stuck with it so I have to deal with it as best I can.

Considering that you can zoom in on the scene and watch it from different angles... (presuming the DVD allows you to do that) then it is a worthwhile purchase. I'm afraid the good ol' VHS tape is going to suffer the same ill fate as the BETA tapes. Good luck with your purchase. Now all you need are a good set of speakers and a kick ass amp to go with it. Then you'll never leave the house. HAHAHA!

I have a DVD machine with the close up and multiple angle features but it didn't work for me. The guy who made the DVD said the DVD has to be made that way...go figure. How can you get multiple angles if the camera is only shooting from one angle? I think that only applies in certain cases. ie (how can you get an angle from the back if the camera only was aiming from the side or front (like 99%) of all those dangling videos?? I couldn't zooom either, although this would seem easier. This would really be great cuz I like getting up close and personal

Yes, the different angle thing works only if the dvd has been made like that. It's pretty easy, it's the same scene filmed by different cameras, and then put all the different "films" into the dvd. As far as i know (never seen it personally) it's widely used in porno movies...

The zoom... strange that it didn't work. Because all it does, it's just applying a digital zoom to the image (same thing as you would do in any software on a pc, to resize a picture). The result is usually not that great, but surely better than you would think... it's strange it didn't work because, as far as i know, it should work with any dvd you play.

Thanks for the tip. I will try it. I would love to get close ups of those scenes. Wish I COULD get different angles but maybe it is too expensive. Anyway. I will try it.

Slow motion also has more clarity on DVD.

Besides, DVD has better sound, takes less space, is easier to use, fool-proof, and it's getting cheaper and cheaper, and you get lot's of extra's on dvd. Verdict: DVD"s KICK ASS!!!!!

Hey guys! I'm finally leaving the "Stone Age". I bought my first DVD yesterday. I didn't have to buy a DVD PLAYER. I can just use my Playstation 2. I watched the Kinjite Forbidden Subjects scene... YES IT'S MUCH BETTER ON DVD. Now I'm going to rent some DVD's with footsie scenes.

RIGHT ON, FF! Like I said before, when it comes to a contest between DVD and VHS... there is NO contest! I don't have an actual DVD player myself, but I have a DVD-ROM drive on my computer and I also have the PS2 (Playstation 2).

I currently have a membership with Netflix.com, so now I'm collecting BOTH footsie/foot in crotch and pantyhose feet scenes on DVD. And my collection is surely growing. Congrats again, FF. Holla!
