What if this forum had an actual, physical convention? It would be far too expensive to pull off, especially considering what I'd like to see happen, but indulge me for a few minutes.
Nyllovercon 2008 - held over a three and a half day period during the winter of 2008 in Rome.
We would be headquartered at a hotel near the airport. A block of rooms would be reserved for the attendees, the number depending on how many people committed to attend & paid the fees. We would also have one or two conference rooms/banquet halls reserved for our meetings, workshops & demos as well as the semi-formal dinners.
I would fly in early to help Nyllover and Padogino with the enormous task of getting things ready for everyone. Ideally I'd love to see 50 to 100 members attend, but the more the better! We would make arrangements for anyone else who wanted to arrive early to help out or sightsee.
Here's the proposed agenda:
Pre-Day One: Forum members arrive at the hotel in the evening from the airport. After checking in they will be referred to our reserved conference room. In that conference room we will be having an informal "meet and greet" amongst ourselves, with drinks, cigars and a buffet. And let's not forget the eye candy!
Just inside the door to the conference room there would be a table staffed by a pair of attractive bilingual/trilingual models or esorts who will provide you with a convention schedule, name tags, city map, hotel information, and emergency contact information if you should wander off and become lost or be arrested
. The girls will be dressed in "expo girl" uniforms and told beforehand to put on a good show under the table.We'll break up around midnight or so although there may be some who will want to continue to enjoy Rome. Every attempt will be made to accomodate any night owls.
Day One: There will be no organized convention activities on the first morning. This will give people a chance to sleep if they wish (adjusting to the new time zone). However after breakfast there will be an optional city tour by bus. I suggest we hire a non-hottie tour guide so we will be looking at the sights, not her. Hey, we're in Rome, we HAVE to have at least one tour!
After lunch we'll begin the more formal part of the convention with a meeting in the conference room. Nyllover will be introduced and if he wishes, make a short speech. There will be a question and answer period and any problems anyone has will be addressed then.
The rest of the afternoon will be spent in disscussion groups, workshops and demos.
I envision small discussion groups talking about subjects such as the best way to introduce a woman to the fetish, media portrayal of fetishists, more in depth analysis of our favorite scenes, and any other related topic.
However, I believe the workshops and demos will be the most productive and memorable part of the afternoon schedule. Here are some ideas:
1. How To Give A Foot Massage - One or two massage experts will be present to give demonstrations (to an attractive model we will hire for both days) on the proper way to massage a woman's feet.
2. How To Give A Pedicure - Pretty much the same as above.
3. How To Get The Best From Your Video Camera - Nyllover, HSP, Josef.Garfield, Schwede, etc. could demonstrate how to use video (and digital cameras) for candid shots. This would not be a dry, boring lecture because you'd get some practice. There would be half a dozen models, all appropriately dressed, who would be standing or sitting in the demonstration area. This workshop could also include help on converting video or VHS/DVD to an MPG/AVI type format.
4. How To Shoot An Under The Table Scene - The guys from Footplay UK could have a small set in one of the conference rooms, and have one or two escorts there to play the part of the girl. They would demonstrate proper lighting, wardrobe, set direction, sound, script and location.
5. How To Draw Manga/Anime - An artist will give advice and basic lessons.
6. How To Use CG And/Or Photomanipulation Tools - I can see Tumor giving this class.
And of course, anything else related to the subject of the website/forum that members would like to see addressed in a workshop or demonstration.
Late in the afternoon perhaps we could have a shoeplay pageant, with the models and escorts that were with us showing off for a prize. Maybe we could make that a raffle, and the winning babe walks off with the money?
There would be a one or two hour break in the evening so that we could collect all we've learned and freshen up for the first night's semi-formal dinner.
The dinner itself would be held in the hotel's banquet hall. We would have to make prior arrangements with an escort service(s) to provide dates for the occasion. If you wanted a girl for one or both night's dinner that would be part of your convention fee.
The girl would be appropriately dressed and would work you under the table if you wanted her to. If you wanted to take the girl up to your room after dinner that would be beyond the scope of your fee, and you'd have to negotiate with her for a seperate transaction (and of course pay for it out of your own pocket).
For your dinner date please specify, RHT, non-RHT, bare or ankle socks (or if you want her to leave her shoe on). ;D
Day Two: Would be a repeat of day one up until the afternoon. It would be great if we could bring in some "celebrities" for a question and answer session. I was thinking that some of the internet babes advertised on the website would be best. Only Carla, Melanie, and Angel in Nylons. Perhaps non-fetish babes as well? Annalisa Caputo perhaps?
We'd have to set some ground rules in advance about what each girl would talk about. Some may not want to discuss anything hardcore, but would be happy to talk about shoeplay or her choice of shoes and hose. Each girl would be seated at a table on the convention stage, naturally.
Also on this day we could raffle off some footjob DVDs and adult website memberships.
The evening dinner would be the same as the night before.
Day Three: We would have a wrap-up meeting after breakfast and take care of anything that was still left undone. Closing remarks by Nyllover and providing any help needed to get people back to the airport. Anyone staying on longer to sightsee or travel would meet with me (and a couple of models for eye candy) to discuss plans and any help needed.
Again, this would be way too expensive for us to put on, and beyond many members budgets for time and money.
But it's nice to dream, and I think we'd have a memorable time.
