The Nanny (The Elevator Scene) - 2 versions (Video)

Here's the famous elevator scene from the long-running American comedy series 'The Nanny' starring Fran Drescher. Its from the episode 'Oy vey, you're gay' which was first broadcast in the U.S on 23 October 1995.
Poland made their own version of the show - 'Niania' starring Agnieszka Dygant which faithfully copied the original scripts so here are both versions of this particular episode side by side.

Very interesting. Too Bad the second clip she has no pantyhose on. Could of been great.

I remember the first scene very well, however, in Fran's first book she said that's not her legs and feet. They used a stunt double because they did not want her hanging from the top of the elevator.

The Nanny elevator scene was done as a tribute to similar scene in 1941 movie Love Crazy, with William Powell and Gail Patrick. It is a classic nylon scene, with Patrick even laughing as she rubs her feet all Powell's face and saying that Powell, her ex-husband, had said she would never walk all over him again.
And I heard that Fran Drescher was supposed to be doubled in the scene but at the last minute had decided to do the scene herself. But I guess that was just hype, if she says in the book she was doubled.
