Footsiefreak,
It would indeed be interesting to track the progress of women using their feet for seduction.
I've read passages from a book called "The Sex Life of the Foot and Shoe", as well as essays published on the net. There are some tantalizing hints, but nothing as detailed and authoritative as I'd like.
One of the earliest references I found goes back to The Crusades. Men would often lock their wives in chastity belts until they returned. The women then had to become very creative in pleasing their lovers and so there are refernces to footjobs.
Other references come from the Middle East where women were covered except for their eyes and their feet. They had to make the most of these assets to attract a man.
Another odd story I picked up only concerned male to female in the Middle Ages. Men's shoes sometimes had long rounded points, and they would use them on women during dinners. One would assume that the women would return the favor with their bare or stockinged feet.
I would imagine it was very difficult at some points in history to do this. Women's shoes were like boots in some periods and would be very difficult to remove discreetly.
Things had to have picked up in the early 1900s as pump type high heels became more popular. Plus, hoisery was practically mandatory for women up until the past few decades.
I imagine too that this activity was passed word of mouth between women for centuries. It wasn't until the advent of motion pictures that women who might have been naive or sexually inexperienced could see this and add it to their arsenal of seduction.
Good topic, I wish we knew more.

As far as I can tell it has a similar history to what I described above.LordAdmiral wrote:does any body know the history of foojobs, and where did it originate?
It seems that once an outbreak of sexually transmitted diseases occurs, interest in foot fetishism increases. From what I've read this was true in Europe after the Crusades and during the Syphillis epidemics in later centuries.
Also look at the Chinese tradition of foot binding and you'll see definite footsex overtones. Foot binding however seemed to deform the foot too much, and it's not something I'd want to really touch.
I believe men chose feet over hands for several reasons, mostly due to the fact that women usually covered their feet, and hence the lure of the unknown. Plus if she does it right then a footjob comes closest to the feel of a vagina, much moreso than a handjob.
Besides, the women worked too, with lots of manual labor, and I would suppose their feet were softer than their hands.

It's difficult to say whether their feet were softer. I suspect their may have been caloused...although the arches tend to have minimal calous.
I'm not sure if spelling callus right, sorry.
I did watch a documentary on the foot binding in China. There was some mention about the custom of small feet and arches. Unfortunately, there were gross depictions of what continous foot binding did to their feet. Ugly, Ugly, Ugly.
What is noteworthy is that they did state that high arches were considered sexually attractive and that the arches could be crunched up to the point where men could/would insert their penises. I'm sure you'd all agree that foot binding does not make feet look attractive, rather deformed, if anything. I have seen Chinese women with very sexy feet, and they definitely were never bound.
