[ENG] The Pedestrian

Post by wsrfr »

I know this is an old topic. But I am on the verge of buying the video from a guy on ebay. Nobody seems to know much about it except it is about a guy with a shoe and/or foot fetish. The seller won't even tell me the story line. The tape costs $45.00 (inc shipping)which seems a little high to me esp if it isn't what I want to see. Anybody for or against the purchase? Anyone interested in buying a copy?? I think the copyright has expired but I don't know. I am not trying to make money off this, just want to defray the cost.

I wouldn't do it for that price. The film is still an unknown so until someone on this board can review it I'd keep my money.

[ENG] The Pedestrian-not about feet/shoes

Post by wsrfr »

I FINALLY got a more detailed description of that movie. It took some doing. The seller scanned the description on the box. There is no mention of feet or shoes. None. Briefly it is about a wealthy industrialist who gets into an auto accident and can't drive the car anymore. So he has to walk everywhere...he becomes a pedestrian. In the meantime a newspaper investigates his past and discovers he may have been involved in atrocities in WW2. That is a brief description. So don't waste your money on this one if you think it is about a guy with a foot fetish. There is no mention of that as far as I read. NOW, there may be a different version of it produced by a different person, but that was the description on the box. If you would like to read it yourself, it is on a guy's ebay store. You can find it if you hunt around. I don't have the link to it but I can post it if need be.

WSRFR - No, this is not the movie in question. I assume that this is the one you were looking at buying?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WD1V

It has the same name as the more recent movie but is utterly different in subject.

The one allegedly about a guy with a foot fetish was made in 2003 and was an indie Canadian production. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362961/

I imagine it will be difficult to find. Hopefully our Canadian members can eventually track this one down.

I'm glad you didn't buy the one on Ebay.

DP is right. I suspect that some of the Canadian members from this forum may be able to help us on this. Either that, or maybe it will be televised in IFC ( Independent Film Channel ) sometime. It's definitely one to look out for.

I thought there may be another version of it somewhere. There is a guy selling very old movies who may have it. But if it just pokes fun at the whole idea and doesn't have many good scenes, then I don't know if I am interested. I certainly don't need someone poking fun at what I happen to like...

It looks like the only way to get a look at that film is to join one of those online video clubs. I think I can join for $12.95/month. But if it has no good scenes and just makes fun of us guys who happen to like feet and shoes then I don't think it is worth even that, although to be frank, I might try it out and let you guys know what it is like. I AM curious.

If you can find some other movies you'd like then it may be worth it. I cannot vouch for anyting regarding on online club...never been a member.

Good research and keep us updated.

I followed the link to the website that has that film in its database. Only problem is nobody seems to have it. Puzzles me. Why would they list the film if it is not available? I'm sort of pissed because I "joined" and yet I still can't find it on DVD or VHS. Itis like it doesn't even exist. This will be a tough one to track down so I will try later or give up entirely. :(
