Venezuelan Telenovela - A Longshot!

I found this oh so brief and teasing reference to a Venezuelan telenovela scene.
Like I said, a longshot, but there's a timeframe (2004), and the name of the female character (Esmerelda).

"...the other day I was watching a Venezuelan soap. The daughter of an illustrious family had invited her boyfriend over to meet her parents. All sat down to dinner with the two of them on opposite sides of the table. During the rather mundane dinner conservation and the camera pans under the table and we see Esmeralda's bare toes fondling her boyfriend's crotch area. The faces above are impassive and but he's looking somewhat nervous. Then she leans across the table and whispers to him, “open your zipper…â€
