I've corrected the link to point to the product page.

Everywhere they say it's "Freeware" and i trusted that (means, i didn't download it). But...you installed and it says Free Trial?

Hello everybody in this great forum. This is my first post and I don't know if I am offering any help to you. Anyway, an other way to download from youtube is to open in a new window the site www.keepvid.com and then copy-paste there the url adress wich is right of the video screen at youtube window. If the videos don't play with FLV-player you can use the VLC-media player.

:) you guys are making it way to complicated. Here's one way you will really love me for.
All you have to do is go to the vid you want then add the word "kiss" before the youtube

for example :
ORIGINAL URL
WHAT YOU ADD http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=KcI6GpYzjxw

if its flagged you just press proceed
right click the DOWNLOAD NOW
press save as
REMEMBER TO ADD .FLV TO THE END

so your finished product should be something like : poop.flv

hope i helped ;)

and you don't have to install any additional software. Go to the clip you want. In the address bar, insert ss right before Youtube starts so that it reads "ssyoutube.... Press Enter. The page will change. Wait a few seconds and you can download the clip. Very useful as you don't know how long that clip will be available.

my favorite firefox plugin is "video downloadhelper".

I supplement what I can't download with it using "1-Click YouTube Video Downloader"

In most cases, I can always download stuff as an mp4 or FLV, I prefer mp4

I've always used JDownloader for all my download needs.

These days, I prefer yt-dlp. It is a fork (or variant) of youtube-dl. It's much more flexible and though it is command prompt driven, once I figured out and set up my commands, it's really easy to use. It stays regularly updated, and is easy to update. It doesn't watermark anything, you're not reliant on some other website. It's a direct downloading app that uses your connection fully. It's 4K compatible too. I also like that you can specify entire playlists to grab, or even a whole channel. I'd be willing to post instructs with my build, to make easy for anyone to get started with it. I have a notepad doc where I have setup all my commands. I just plug in the video's web address and create an mp4 of the best quality available.

I not only use it get shoeplay vids, but it's great for grabbing music as well.

I also use 4k video downloader, simply because it can download entire playlists easily.
