Here's the video of Patricia Barry from The Case of the Velvet Claws. She is making a getaway from a notorious club with her prominent married boyfriend. The cops block her way. So she tosses off her shoes and wraps a coat around herself and then goes to talk to the cop barefoot. And he even asks if she always drives barefoot. She says she is rushing to pharmacy for heart medicine for her husband and cop feels pity and says she can go. This is scene back in car after cop leaves.
