Don't worry, doesn't hurt to write it down
- You click on "Profile", here on the left
- At the end of the page you'll see a field called "Upload Avatar from your machine"
- Click "Browse" there, select the picture on your PC and then click "Submit"
Warning that Avatars have these limits: 20Kbyte of size and a maximum of 140x140 pixel of dimension

FF has brought up a very valid point, Nyl. I have some avs (avatars) from various avatar websites that I'd like to use, but for some reason... I can never see them, although the pixel and byte size are at the standard level. Here is an example of an av that I'd like to use. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

What photo do you want to use FF? I can resize it for you or you can download IrfanView. That's what I use, after Nyllover's recommendation. It's a great tool for making avatars and manipulating images.

Thanks DP. I'll just settle for this one for now. I really got stressed out trying to figure out something so simple.Dead Parrot wrote:What photo do you want to use FF? Hey DP I did find a clip of the legendary Threes Company footsie scene on www.angelfire.com or google "Three's Company pics" so if you want to resize it that would be fine.ThanksDead Parrot wrote:What photo do you want to use FF? Here are a few screen captures to choose from.
1. Save the file to your hard drive.
2. Open the file with MS Paint (Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint).
3. Cut out the one you want and save it as a JPG file.
4. Come here to the board and upload the file.
Let me know if you have problems or if you want another screenshot. I threw one in of Kelly Hu as well because I liked her look in the photo.
