What do the bots on the forum do?

What do these bots do? I'm kind of curious, sometimes I see them surfing and reading random topics. Is it to contribute
to googles page rank algorithm?

Depends on the bot. Some of them are for search engine index (like BING and Google), others most probably to train AI models (like Amazon). Semrush and Ahrefs are SEO tools used by professionals, that constantly gather the web to get info from sites.
They don't bring any benefit to this forum (a part from the search engine indexing). If anything, they slow down the server
