In "Scheherazade, Tell Me a Story" from 2009 Zaki's character stands in her bare feet on her husband's sandaled feet as he works out on a treadmill. In another scene she is lying on couch and as he stands at end she raises up her foot in a flat, he removes the flat and kisses her bare sole, then slaps her face with the shoe. She has other barfefoot scenes. There are other actresses in the movie that show their bare feet, including wading in the ocean. The movie is quite powerful about abuse of women in Egypt. Zaki plays a TV talk show host telling the stories of abused women and the progression of her own abuse is also revealed.
