<a href="http://www.stockingirl.com">Stockingirl.com</a> is a very high quality and visually appealing website where they sell hose and lingerie. Apparently they make their own patterns, and some of them are...unconventional, to say the least.
The photos of the models are very high quality, although not many foot shots. Too bad and not really helpful for the RHT styles when you want to actually see what it looks like.
Scroll down to the bottom of the "Stockings" page and you'll see a short history of nylon and silk stockings.
This is the sort of website you can use to buy stuff for your sweetie, or you can not so casually steer her there when she's surfing around. I believe this presentation of nylons as all things to all women (classic, sexy, mod, fun) is a great thing for the future of hoisery.
