Forgive me if this has already been a discussion. But I've been away for a bit, and really missed you guys, annnd was curious about this at the same time.
I see the discussion of candid vs. posed shoeplay situations, all the time. I've noticed some people prefer candid, and absolutely abhor posed. Some like posed, and others (such as myself) will take either one. So I was just wondering, which side of the fence are you on, and why?
Me, personally, I'll take either candid or posed shoeplay. For posed situations, I say, as long as the moves are good and not over the top, and the feet are sexy, with the right shoes, hosiery, etc. then I'm cool with it. Don't get me wrong, I love a good candid too. I guess, basically, as long as it's good (and it's clearly a woman), I'll take it.
Staged shoeplay just doesn't really do it for me I'm afraid. It subtracts about 80% of the pleasure if I know it's staged.
For me a bigger question is, if you're enjoying staged shoeplay that you think is candid, would you want to know?
I've pointed out on a few youtube videos that I thought they were almost certainly staged, and I got mild blowback from a few people. I don't know if it was because I made them feel gullible or if it was just that I was spoiling their fun, but if it was more the latter I can sympathize.
I'm a nice guy, but I have zero patience and zero respect for people who piss on other people's heads and expect them to look up and say, huh, the rain's pleasantly warm - and that cloud has a dick!

Sweet and to the point:
My strong preference is for seated, both-feet shoeplay. Dangling, and shoeplay with open-toed shoes or mules, I'm afraid don't do as much for me.
I can honestly go either way. Obviously, candid shoeplay is delightful, but posed shoeplay is just an embellished version of the real thing. When my fiancee plays with her shoes, it's often because she knows I'm watching with glee...so I guess to me, that's more posed than candid, and if I can enjoy her purposeful dipping, why can't I appreciate another woman doing the same?
The bigger element for me is, as ShoeplayJ puts it...I appreciate that confirmation that I'm watching a woman and not a crossdresser. Some people are into that and that's fine; I'd just prefer if people were honest when they were sharing videos. I've seen some that were really on the fence as to whether or not it was a guy, and you can't help but wonder.

Hmm. I would get curious, I suppose. But like I said, if I think it's good, it wouldn't matter to me, either way. Knowing wouldn't spoil the experience for me, if I'm really enjoying it. But I guess I do lean towards candid material, now that I think about it. I usually can tell who is trying to pass off a a stage video as a candid, and who made up a scenario to accompany the video and make it more interesting. Like setting the scene, you know?
Like I said, the thing that irritates me the most, is when a man is obviously trying to pass off as woman, in a video. I've seen around, that that is a common annoyance.

Exactly this. Nothing wrong with crossdressers doing it, but just be honest. I would think that doing so would benefit the model too, because then you know that people genuinely are enjoying what you're doing, and not just watching because they think you are something that you're not. But that's just me.

This too! On a less related note, I've noticed my lady doesn't really shoeplay as much as she used to, unless we're filming. Occasionally, she'll put on a little show for me, though. I realize though, she is still trying to learn/understand it, and still has some insecurities about her feet. I take what I can get.
I'm about 90% candid. The posed has to be "really life like", even if it's posed I will enjoy it. But sometimes people do posed and they are just way over the top and it's a little ridiculous.
I like candid shoeplay or candid shoeless nylon sceenes the best. I like also models who are showing their feet and legs in nylons in a room or outdoors (so not staged "candid" stuff). Stage candid can be also excitig, when it is not over the top. It depends on the girls feet and nylons.
I agree about a lot of the staged videos, being over the top. The fact that it's staged doesn't bother me, but when there is just too much movement in too short of a time, and it just looks like the lady in question has had too much caffeine or something....yeah, I hate that. What really sucks, is that a lot of times, the woman in the video will have perfect feet and the right shoe and nylon combination.
Oh indeed. Nothing wrong at all with staged videos if you're honest about it and people enjoy it. Only a self righteous asshat tells other people what to enjoy.

There was this dipshit a couple years ago whose screen name was "nightfeet" or something like that, whose videos were particularly insulting to one's intelligence in this respect (way too much frenetic movement, camera angles and distances that would obviously tip off the subject, and they were even filmed in a residence).
The twit's alibi went something like, "Oh no you see I live in a magical mysterious house full of beautiful college students!".
Yeah right, fuck you. After I made a fool of him in his own comment section he removed all my comments.

Ah! I remember nightfeet's stuff. I bought a few things from him, in the past, but I had no idea that he was going around, saying stuff like that.
For our video descriptions, I usually make up little b.s. scenarios to basically set the scene and more or less say "now, imagine THIS!". Never have I tried to fool people, though. lol Hell, the rare times that I've caught my lady in a candid moment, the quality was inferior to all the other things we'd filmed. So I agree with you there, when the quality is too great, it's questionable. Unless it's somebody like the guy who owns "Candid German Shoeplay". Seems like his stuff is real, and like he knows what he's doing.
For me, I far, far prefer candid to staged. The reason for this is that the biggest motivating factor for me in finding shoeplay attractive in the first place is the girl's motivations for taking her shoes off. The fact that she is doing it to be more comfortable, particularly if she's airing out or cooling off her feet because they're too hot, is what I find irresistibly adorable. This is because I'm attracted to actions that are done out of a desire for comfort, especially ones that I can relate to. Indeed, I sometimes take my shoes off in public myself if my feet get so hot and uncomfortable that I just can't take it any more. I think it's adorable and very attractive when a girl and I can relate, so I guess this is a big reason why I'm even into shoeplay at all; because it's cute, innocent, done for comfort, and is something that bonds a girl that I see doing it and I together as kindred spirits, as I sometimes do it, as well. For similar reasons, I find it very attractive and adorable when girls cross their ankles while sitting, as, like shoeplay, it is something they do because it is comfortable for them, and, like shoeplay, it is something that I myself also do all the time because it is comfortable for me, as well. Same with putting one leg under the other, as I do that, as well. Hell, I've gotten into the habit of crossing my legs, both ankle-on-knee (the "masculine" way) and knee-on-knee (the "feminine" way) lately, as I have started to find it comfortable, so now I'm sort of starting to think it's cute when girls do it, although girls sit like that so commonly, that I can't help but feel that it's just a habit, and that it isn't even done for comfort at all, which kind of dilutes the level of attraction. But, I guess, at least some of the times that they do it, it must be for comfort, after all.
