Hey, noob here.
Anyways, I vaguely remember seeing commercials with feet in them during the late 90s. There was a shoe company (Payless, iirc) that featured a woman rubbing her toes over some suede shoes. Pearle Vision (iirc) featured a woman polishing her toes, and showed her soles in the process, and there were various commercials for things like lotions, cleaning products and furniture which featured glimpses of barefoot women.
But I first really noticed feet in a commercial for Lamisil tablets, which first aired in 2000. Now, Lamisil had been advertising for roughly a year, with their "Barefoot without Embarrassment" campaign, which featured women (and men) cavorting barefoot, carefree thanks to their healthy, fungus-free nails.
Well, this campaign changed around 2000, for whatever reason. Lamisil was referenced directly in these commercials, and the commercials started focusing on one person in particular, a man in one version and a woman in the other. The one I'm interested in featured a woman.
To give an overview, she is first seated on her couch dressed in business casual clothes, describing how silly she was to not get her nail fungus treated earlier. Cut to shot of her sitting in a doctor's office, in a dressing gown; a quick shot of her toenails, which she hides because she is embarrassed of them. Cut to her on her couch extolling the benefits of Lamisil. She brings one foot around, examines her toes, and in a v/o sounds very happy to have "healthier, more beautiful nails." Cut to profile shot of her as she stands before her bedroom mirror. She has changed into what appears to be sweatpants and a wife beater, and is putting her hair up. Then, a shot of her walking down the hallway; we see she is barefoot. Cut to a shot of her in a sewing room, with a close-up shot of her right foot as she pumps the pedal of a sewing machine. She then is shown measuring a dress, and the shot returns to her on the couch, wearing the outfit we first saw her in. She sort of rubs her toes, and looks extremely happy to have beautiful feet once again.
Now, why she's only shown in her home, and why we never get a good shot of her feet is beyond me. Regardless, I couldn't believe this commercial when I first saw it, and it's always been my favorite commercial ever; not the best I've ever seen, but it was the first commercial I ever made an effort to record. It mainly aired during daytime shows aimed at women, but once in a while it would air in prime time. It aired on and off from 2000-2002, when the infamous "Digger" campaign was brought in. Would be nice to hear from this woman, 10 years on, to see how her feet are doing. Alas, we never will.
But...we can relive it! I've found the commercial online, on the Vanderbilt University TV Archive. It's a nice resource for people like us. I've attempted to record it, and have only met with limited success. But here is my YT channel, with different parts of it posted online. It's not great, but this commercial is hard to find online.
Does anyone know how to go about finding who this woman is? I don't even find her all that attractive, but her feet and that shot of her walking down that hallway have been burned into my brain for all eternity. I'd just like to see a good shot of her feet. For whatever reason, she's impossible to locate. This might be an eternal quest...
Anyways, here is a link to my channel with different caps of that commercial (there are also some other foot scenes on it, for you to enjoy!)

It probably goes without saying, but if anyone has a copy of this commercial, feel free to post it here. Same with recollections of this commercial; were there other versions of it that I'm forgetting or haven't posted online?
