Animated GIFs

Post by Dead Parrot »

Howdy folks,

I thought I'd ask here first before surfing: what's the best way to make animated GIFs? Do I need Photoshop or a similar software package?

Nyllover - will an animated GIF used as an avatar eat up too much bandwidth? Will it affect the message board?

Thanks,

DP

You can use Photoshop, but i am sure there are better, easier and cheaper programmes to do that. One that i know i think it's called Gif Animator....but don't really remember as i've never been a big "animated gif creator"

Though i don't know if the avatar will look animated (i don't remember if anyone ever used an animated avatar, perhaps Babylove?), you will have the same limits of normal pictures: 140 width x 140 height and 20Kb of maximum size. So nothing different than the usual pictures.
