I think it's about American fashion, as I can see, for example in Germany there are many celebs that wears nylons or hose when they go to events or premieres, and also in tv programs. Check it out!

yes i guess u are right...european celebs, esp germans, italians n east european, tend to be more "pro nylons"

Let's not forget that the weather in California is always hot. Besides I think that the celebrities want to show that they've got legs and therefore they don't need to hide them under nylons.
