We've spent quite a bit of bandwidth on this site hammering on about nylon covered legs and feet as opposed to bare legs and feet. :x

But what about socks?

Why is it that a woman who is otherwise naked seems to look that much sexier if she's wearing a pair of socks?

Why is it that those big, loose socks that are popular in the Japanese Schoolgirl look are such a big crowd pleaser?

What explains the 80s look of wearing lace ankle socks with high heel pumps?

I believe I have some answers, but want to get your feedback first.

Well...in my opinion... all it's related to the same thing as hose: see the shape, but don't see the nakedness. Or is it because socks gives her a more "innocent" look? Uhmmm...maybe it's this one too... innocent look... younger look...

I, for one, definitely prefer socks or hose on a woman. A naked foot does nothing for me.

It's nice to see that others share the same feelings!

I like thin socks...it leaves more to the imagination. Sort of like seeing a woman in a low cut blouse or bra. You see the shape but don't see the whole foot. But I still like hose the best on woman with high arches. The hose that doesn't quite "cling" to the sexy arch, which, along with the heel, is one of the sexiest parts of the foot. Some hose these days are really sheer; its almost hard to tell if the lady is wearing hose; I like a little bit more opaque, like looking at tits through a semi see through bra. Rather arousing for me. But for some reason I don't really care for the foot completely out of the shoe quite as much. Oh well :S
