Social Media Has Ruined Shoeplay

Post by JWCooley126 »

I miss the days where women were completely unaware of what shoeplay did to us. Now it's so mainstream that women are making plenty of money selling pics and videos of their feet where for so long we got it for free and they were none the wiser. Many women have said that they never even thought about it and shoeplay was just natural for them, but thanks to glorious (sarcasm) social media every man has alerted women to our secret enjoyment. The internet has mostly been scrubbed of true candid shoeplay as well. I also can't help to wonder if women now are more conscious of it and shoeplay less because of it. There's no way to know, but does anyone else agree that they miss the golden age of shoeplay?

I noticed a huge dip in the last 3 or 4 years! I barely see anything around.... Sad times ahead of us!

Definitely. I mean we all saw what happened to the shopping channels over the years, then the idiot YouTube commenters killed countless channels with potential. Even Podcasts are ruined now, with camera shots either cutting off feet or the hosts cover their legs with blankets. Once I noticed “no free feet pics” catch on I knew our fetish became mainstream enough for women to become aware of it.

Granted, I don’t get out nearly as much these days but I definitely still see Shoeplay out and about. Forget high heels, but mules flats and sandals that don’t strap are still everywhere. Covid really did a number on us. As the years pass I’m slowly seeing a more business attire appear in my office but for years casual clothing and sneakers were all you would see.

Well in France I can say that more and more women are wearing either slingbacks, flats (also slingbacks sometimes) and finally Mules as the weather gets Warmer.
These kind of shoes are more « shoeplay friendly » so let’s see how it goes this spring/summer !

You can't blame social media for the decline of shoeplay but it has lessened its value alot. Most just do it for attention and it's staged nonsense. Perfect example the ladies of Pearl TV. But this is deemed acceptable because they want to do it not illegal voyeurism

Also greedy YouTube channels who make fake reports to get other channels removed.

No our golden age of pure shoeplay is gone and will never come back

I wouldn't blame social media necessarily. There are so many factors at play. I hope my analysis isn't too repetitive.

As far as foot fetishism being "mainstream," I think it's more that the American taboos of discussing sexual matters in public have eroded some. Case in point: "69." Now it's merely "the sex number." I would guess most people don't think about the act, but they will giggle about the number all day, myself included. People are a bit less puritanical than they once were, and so those things can be recognized in the open...

...except that foot fetishism still carries a bit of a stigma of "being weird" for many. That's the end result of years of foot fetishism being portrayed as an element of unsavory characters. Old prejudices die hard.

And - this is where the social media finger-pointing comes in - many of our less-savory representatives don't do a great job of hiding their freak flag. But that's been going on for years. It's just easier to send a message via Facebook than to write a creepy fan letter to your favorite TV star. But I don't know if that's social media's fault.

Fashion has been hit by your usual list: the athleisure drive coupled with COVID, more casual approaches to formerly formal activities, COVID and capitalism dealing death blows to many apparel companies in the last 5-6 years. Style has been in a bit of a rut for a few years. That may hopefully swing back around; it often does.

COVID also really impacted the very notion of "going places," and in order to have public shoeplay, you need people going out in public. I've heard it described as a lack of "third places," where people can spend time that's not at home or work. Immediately after COVID, a lot of places were recrafted to make lingering around less convenient, whether it be Starbucks ditching tables or the mall walkways getting rid of benches. The places are starting to return, but a lot of people haven't truly bounced back.

And as far as candid content, you have the big payment-processor debacle where voyeur and candid content really couldn't exist on pay platforms.

We are fortunate that, for a long time, we had dedicated voyeurs who knew how to make clandestine content. And we are probably even luckier that YouTube didn't clamp down on content as long as they did.

Shoeplay is being killed by sneakers. Before, women didn't wear sneakers, and now they're everywhere. That trend is shoeplay's main enemy.

it sounds like we maybe need to wait for our fetish to go mainstream. Like, the people who engage in it are going to want to get our attention with shoeplay as an actual selling point of the content. Like Diana from Pearl is a shopping show host, but she shoeplays knowing full well there are some odd fellows among our ranks. That's what I mean.

I think we might have more luck if models become hosts of shows like what we have with pearl. They come from a trade where like they are trained and schooled in how to provoke men and they can use it for profit. Like Fox News. Lately they cover the girls' legs, but they used to have what was called "The Leg Chair" where they would put the girl in the skirt. That's what I mean by mainstream. If women in power can adopt that, they can control the environment, sort through the comments and laugh off hte odd ones.

I didn't really think this out, but I'll put it out there anyway.

At this point foot fetish is as popular or well known as high as it will be.
